First Steps

Our little ones will work on their balance and rhythm with fun exercises using colours and numbers. From there they will move on to basic technique and begin to learn movements and in time adding those movements together to learn full dances. Our little ones will get the opportunity to compete in Primary and Beginner sections and can also take part in early exam grades such as Tartan Tots. Our Christmas party will give young ones the chance to perform for family and friends to showcase all of their work throughout the year.

Judging

Qualified teachers within the school can work towards passing their judges test to become an adjudicator on the world wide panel. As instructor Laura is a member of this panel she can coach dancers through this test and from there they will then be able to travel and judge at competitions. This is the highest level for any teacher/dancer and gives dancers after their years of progression through Highland dance the change to watch from the best seat at any competition or championship.
