Laura Grayson

Laura set up the Whistler School of Highland Dancing in 2010. She has been dancing from the age of 3 and is professionally trained in Highland, Scottish National and Ballet. Her passion for Highland dance has lead her onto many accomplishments such as winning the All England Adult Championships 2 years in a row (2012 and 2013), becoming an official SOBHD judge on the World Wide Panel and travelling to India and China to dance with the TA Pipe Band. Laura is also an official member and qualified Highland and National dance teacher with the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing).

Laura has won and placed in a huge number of competitions and championships with boxes and boxes of medals and trophies.

Laura is also a Highland Choreographer creating amazing choreographies for dancers to perform in local showcases and competitions across the country.

Hollie Mills

Hollie is one of Laura's first pupils to have joined the school. They have worked closely with each other for many years. Hollie is professionally trained in Highland and Street dance and trained in a range of other dance styles, including Scottish National, Ballet, Jazz, Commercial and Contemporary. With Laura's help and tuition, Hollie is now a qualified Highland Dance Teacher and member of the BATD. Hollie won her Pre-Championship title in 2013 at the North of England Championships and her first All England Adult Championship title in 2017. Hollie competes at the World Highland Dancing Championships every year with other dancer's from the school and has followed in Laura's foot steps, winning many local and national competitions.

Hannah started dancing at a young age and is now a fully qualified Highland and National teacher. She has competed all over the country and has danced at the World Championship for 5 years. Hannah has featured in 2 of the Snake Charmer Bagpipers YouTube videos reaching thousands of views and has won many local and national competitions. Hannah has placed at many Championships across the UK and now helps teach within classes - WSOHD is very lucky to have her as a teacher!
